The Compound Part Definition dialog, Height Type setting, controls Fixed Height and Variable Height settings for compound wall sub-parts.

The Height Type setting options menu is shown expanded above.

Fixed Height parts are relative to the Bottom of Wall. Variable Height parts are relative to the Height setting in the Place Wall tool settings window, at the time the wall is placed. This setting corresponds with the Sample Height property in the Definition dialog.

The Sample Height setting, in the Definition dialog, lets the user test their compound wall to make sure it responds the way they intended.
